I am new to MS Project.
After I enter data and am looking at the Gantt chart view, some of the cells
shade themselves in light blue. What does this mean?

Thanks

You are seeing Change Highlighting, a new feature in Microsoft Project 2007.
Whenever you make a change to the project schedule, such as changing the
Duration of a task, the software uses the blue cell background color to show
you any task whose schedule is changed as a consequence. Hope this helps.
