Hey-

i am trying to set up a project with no fixed start date. Specificall
the start date is ARO (After Receipt of Order). It seems Project doe
not allow to leave the start date blank. Ultimately I would like to hav
Task1 to be "order received", and every task after that to be task1 +
weeks or y days.

Our customer can then see that the overall project will last w month
after receipt of an order.

Is it something feasible or not with Microsoft Project?

Thank yo

You have to have a start date for the project.
Just pick one that is feasible, like the 1st of next month.
Provided your plan is not chock full of date constraints (please say it is
so), it will be an easy matter to move it all to whatever becomes the real
start date.

Thank you.

I guess I will just have to export -copy/paste- the project schedul
into Excel and show a start date of ARO and everything else using th
task duration to sum up the project duration

Why not just do what I suggested?
