Hello,
Could that be possible to have "TBD" option in the field date as well as "NA"
At my work we have two different definitions for these. By default, the
date field is NA which is great and we want to have the TBD option so we can
use it.
Perhaps I need to write a formula to convert a dummy date let say 1/1/1 to
TBD??
Would this be an option?
Please advise
Thank you

Sorry, That can't be changed unless you use a custom text field (EG Text1)
and create a formula to do this for you.

No it can not be "TBD"
Date fields can only have dates, not text.
If you want "TBD" you need to use a text field.

The date field is NA ????? Which field are you referring to? An Actual
Start or Finish is NA until the task has work done on it and the same for
Baselines until you save one, but there is always a date in the scheduled
Start or Finish fields and I've never seen them go to "NA". After all,
Project is a scheduling program whose basic reason for existance is to
calculate dates of tasks. If there are no links or resource issues to drive
the tasks to a certain start date and you haven't manually input those dates
(and you should NEVER manually input dates except for those few tasks that
need a SNET or FNET constraint) the tasks will all show starting on the
Project Start date. If you're seeing "NA" in the Start or Finish columns,
there's something drastically wrong.
