Discussion:
Printing to Adobe PDF in MS Project
(too old to reply)

I have a user who is attempting to use the Adobe PDF printer driver from
within MS Project but no matter which file you try, whether it is large or
small, Project hangs during the conversion process. I have on occasion also
received a message 'Printer connection isn't working. Check your printer
connections and try again'.

I’ve tried changing the printer port for Adobe, thinking it may have
something to do with it attempting to print after saving, but that made no
difference. Every other program appears to work ok when printing on the
associated PC.

Does anybody have any alternative suggestions that I can try to resolve this
problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hi mark,

Are you using Project 2007? There have been reports that turning
off the 3D Gantt Bar display helps. See Tools> Options, view tab.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi Julie

Thanks for the response. Yes it is Project 2007 that is being used. I will
go and try your suggestion on the PC having the problem and get back to you.

Cheers
